A striking pair of neoclassical-style table lamps in the French Empire taste, each built around a clear glass (possibly Crystal because of their weight) urn body framed in ornate cast gold-tone mounts. Roped bands with a cast floral rosette wrap the waist, while dramatic handles formed as crested eagle heads with finely detailed plumage rise against the glass. Gadrooned leaf collars and rings, a stepped square plinth on scrolled acanthus paw feet, and a tall domed cap complete the classical silhouette. The clear glass reads especially beautiful lit, with a sparkle that suits consoles, entry tables, or symmetrical bedside placement.
