Key Features and Styles
Slant-Front Design: The desk has a hinged "fall-front" or "slant-front" that opens to provide a flat tooled leather writing surface. Featuring working locks with 3 keys, and a hidden/secret drawer for keys.
The top writing surface comes out as you roll up the front cover.
Interior Organization: The upper section reveals a series of pigeonholes, small drawers, and often a central "prospect door" (the small door with the lion inlay in your image) for more private storage.
Inlay Details: Features prominent marquetry (the lion figure and geometric borders) and burlwood veneers, which were hallmark decorative elements of high-end furniture from the Dutch or English traditions during this period.
Base Storage: The bottom half consists of several large, graduated drawers with decorative brass hardware.

Condition
In good, structurally sound, and sturdy condition with some scrapes, nicks and dings which have been touched up mostly on the top trim edge. The key drawer has a chip on 1 corner and there is a small lighter area on the leather.
